Come join Tom and Alison Taylor, two of Utah’s most experienced personal historians, and documentary filmmaker Steve McCurdy for this exciting life story workshop in Italy. We will enjoy ten days of discovery, storytelling, laughter and sightseeing in the breathtaking Umbrian countryside.

Have you dreamed of recording your life stories to hand down to future generations? Or perhaps you’ve always wanted to publish a memoir or series of thematic essays, but didn’t know how to get started. This guided workshop will give you the knowledge and inspiration you need to conceive, create, and publish a book or multimedia presentation of your life stories. No writing experience or computer knowledge is required.

In this workshop, we will guide you through the process of choosing and recording your most important and compelling life stories. Topics covered include creating a life timeline, brainstorming techniques, and how to choose which stories to tell; techniques for reåcording, writing, and editing; working with images, printing, publishing; and ideas for telling your stories in audio, video and other media.
